Meet Nevriye

A student of grounded happiness, and the woman who almost missed it.

For years I looked like someone who had it all figured out. Inside, I was quietly running on empty. What followed wasn't a breakdown. It was a slow, deliberate return to myself, and the work I now share.

Portrait of Nevriye Yesil

My story

I learned happiness the hard way, then learned to teach it the gentle way.

Chapter I · The quiet exhaustion

My early career was defined by ambition, achievement, and a quiet exhaustion no one around me could see. I had everything I was "supposed" to want, and still felt disconnected from my own life.

I was a banker in Germany — successful on paper, unhappy and unfulfilled. Something was missing.

You know the feeling when you have everything and you feel nothing? That was me.

Chapter II · The turning point

The turning point came when I stopped looking for motivation and started looking at the science.

I earned my Master's in Happiness Studies under Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, Harvard's most-attended professor, and discovered that happiness is something we can learn and practice. That is freedom. You stop expecting it from others and outside circumstances.

Chapter III · The mission

I built my work around sharing and sprinkling the science of happiness.

First for myself. Then for the women in my life through the Lakewood Ranch Happiness Circle. Then for executives, founders, and teams. That work grew into the Happiness Leadership Institute, alongside my Sprinkle Happiness podcast and my speaking on stages across the globe.

The methodology

Four principles I never break.

I.

Science before slogans

Every tool I share is rooted in peer-reviewed positive psychology, neuroscience, and contemplative research.

II.

Regulation before performance

Nothing grows in a dysregulated nervous system. We begin in the body, with safety, breath, and coherence.

III.

Depth before scale

Real change is slow, quiet, and embodied. I work with fewer people, more deeply.

IV.

Heart-led, never performative

This work is gentle, intelligent, and honest. No spiritual bypassing. No bootcamp energy.

Trained where the research happens.
